I know I am a little behind, but I wanted to take a second to recognize my academic team for what an amazing job they did at their Governor's Cup competition the last weekend in February. My school hosted and also did a superior job! I've joked around that you can tell a lot by a school based on its hospitality room at Gov Cup, and even though I was joking, I think there is a little bit of truth in that... and let's just say that ours was awesome! Thank you Alvaton Elementary!! (A special thanks to Mrs. M, our Family Resource Coordinator for the great bulletin board!)
Alvaton had five individuals place in subject areas, our Future Problem Solving team tied for first, and our Quick Recall team came in fourth. Overall, we placed third. Our team also won the Hume Sportsmanship award, an award voted on by a representative from each team. I couldn't be more proud of all of my kids!
